Lawrence Pushes ORU Past Omaha, 2-0

TULSA, Okla. – Brittney Lawrence propelled the Oral Roberts women's soccer team to its fourth victory in-a-row after scoring a pair of goals in the team's 2-0 shutout of Omaha Sunday afternoon at the Case Soccer Complex.

After a scoreless first half of action, the Golden Eagles opened second half play with urgency and it paid off in the 50th minute. Caitlyn Hanslovan drilled a ball off the crossbar and back to Lawrence who corralled the ball and sent it past UNO's goalkeeper for the go-ahead goal.

Lawrence, a junior from Scarbrough, Ontario, would seal the match in the 64th minute after Kayla Keller played a ball back in front of the net for the open forward's second goal of the match.

  • Lawrence led the squad with four shot attempts.
  • ORU outshot Omaha 11-9 on the day.
