QUOTABLES

Forward Mackenzie Edwards on…

…today's match:
"It was super exciting to be back on the field again and I was happy to be able to help my team. I hope we can use this as a launching point and keep going from here, I'm super excited for everything and everyone's hard work and I feel like it really showed today.

Head Coach Roger Bush on…

…Grambling State:
"Huge credit to Grambling State, I thought they played great and they are a great team that is very athletic. They fought really hard and it disrupted our play at the beginning of the game and it took us a long time to actually settle into the game."

McKenzie Edwards:
"The first thing I think of about her is how great of an attitude she has. She hasn't played the last two matches and she has been used kind of selectively but her attitude is always pristine and she is willing to serve and participate in the role that she has inside the team. We used her today because she is very athletic and fast and we knew we were playing that type of team, we knew they had a three back system that we knew Mackenzie had the weapons in her arsenal to attack that kind of system."

…the different starting lineups early in the season:
"First of all we trust everyone, whoever is called on is going to be ready so it's a group that is ready and they believe in each other. We've got a lot of great options and one of the goals for us as a coaching staff is to use the non-conference schedule to find the best combinations and to provide as much opportunity as we can to the different possibilities that are inside the team.
