OMAHA, Neb. – The Oral Roberts women's soccer team fell late to Omaha, 2-1, Sunday afternoon at Caniglia Field.

 

After a scoreless first half that featured the Golden Eagles outshooting the Mavericks 3-0, the ORU offense found luck in the opening minute of the second half as Jordan Langebartels recorded her fifth goal of the season.

 

Langebartels received the pass from Kelli Keller about 25-yards out. The forward then drove down the line before cutting back in around the six-yard box as she fired it into the upper 90 to give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead.

 

As both teams continued to battle, Oral Roberts found itself in trouble in the 66th minute as Maverick forward Abby Meader drilled the penalty kick for the equalizer.

 

The Golden Eagles continued to attack as Amogelang Motau, Emma Foster and Jessica Misquez each fired shots despite being unlucky in hitting the frame.

 

A late mishaps in the 84th minute proved to be costly as Maverick sophomore Amanda Rapaduski found the back of the net for the game winner.

- Senior forward Jordan Langebartels cracked the Oral Roberts all-time top-10 goals list with her 18th career goal.
- Langebartels has now scored in three of the past five matches.
- ORU outshot UNO 8-5.
