TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts University women's tennis team fell in the spring season opener Wednesday against the University of Wyoming, 7-0, at the Shadow Mountain Tennis Center.

The Golden Eagles battled in doubles action but the Cowgirls edged ORU in all three matches to take the first point. Wyoming controlled singles action to shutout the Golden Eagles in the opener for both teams.

- Marizanne Bouwer and Andrada Gordan played No. 1 doubles for ORU and fell 6-3.
- Ximena Puentes and Petya Simeonova also fell at No. 2 doubles 6-3.
- Petya Simeonova gave ORU its best effort at no. 4 singles falling, 6-2, 6-2 to Christa Gecheva.
- Marizanne Bouwer played No. 1 singles for ORU and fell, 6-0, 6-0.
- Andrada Gordan earned points at No. 2 singles but fell to Dorottya Jonas, 6-1, 6-1.
