OPENING SERVE

► The Oral Roberts University volleyball team won its 900th match all time last Friday against Marquette. ORU becomes the third Summit League school to cross the 900 win plateau joining North Dakota State and IPFW. In comparison just 15 schools in NCAA Division I history has won more than 1,000 matches.

► Led by sophomore Laura Milos the Golden Eagles finished 2-1 at the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational at Missouri State. Milos was named Summit League Player of the Week - her second honor of her career - after totaling 73 kills in three matches. She tallied 33 kills in a win over Marquette, the highest single-game tally in The Summit League this season.

► ORU finished 2-1 in Springfield last season as the wins over Marquette and Miami gave the Golden Eagles victories over teams receiving votes in the AVCA Top 25. However, the lone two losses on the Golden Eagles record have been at the hands of the home - Ole Miss and Missouri State.

► Sophomore setter, Lucija Bojanjac recorded her first two 50+ assists matches, both in wins over Marquette and Miami. Bojanjac recorded a season-high 56 assists against Marquette, just three shy of her career-high mark set last season.

► With nearly the entire starting lineup returning for ORU cracking the rotation in 2015 will be tough. However, freshman Tori Roe capped a solid weekend for the second consecutive tournament. Roe recorded 40 digs including a season-high 21 against Miami. She currently leads the team with 63 digs heading into the weekend.

► The Rebel Challenge will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network as a part of Campus Insiders. Saturday's match against UNLV will be available for live stream on the Mountain West Network at 4 p.m.

THE TOURNAMENT FIELD

► Host UNLV returns home where they opened the season 3-0. However the Rebels went 0-3 last weekend at Kansas State against Cal, Green Bay and K-State.

► UNLV is led by Bree Hammel who averaged 3.36 kills per set on the offensive side of the net and Alexis Patterson who paces the offense at 10.00 assists per set. Ashley Owens averages 1.67 blocks per set on the defensive side of the net.

► Portland State enters with a 2-4 mark winning their last two matches against Nevada and Grand Canyon. The Vikings started the season 0-4 which included a 3-0 sweep by #10 Washington at the Gonzaga Challenge.

► Portland State is led offensively by Pati Anae who averages 3.10 kills per set and Erin Clark who enters with 5.20 assists per set. Two defensive standouts for PSU lead the way on the opposite side of the net with Sarah Liva entering with 1.25 blocks per set and Emani Jackson at 1.00 bps.

► A familiar foe in former Southland Conference rival Southeastern Louisiana enters with a 2-4 record after going 1-3 in their home tournament last weekend. The Lions are led by Landry Bullock who averages 3.25 kills per set.
