TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts University volleyball team starts its weekend Friday against league leading Denver before returning home to face Western Illinois Sunday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles will take on The Summit League's first place team for a second weekend in a row after falling to Omaha last weekend. Denver handed Omaha its first conference loss last weekend as ORU will try to snap a brief two-match skid before returning home Sunday to face Western Illinois.

► The Golden Eagles again face the top team in the league as they travel to Denver Friday before a three-match home series starts with Western Illinois on Sunday. ORU sits in fourth after being handed their first two Summit League losses of the season while Denver sits at 6-1 atop the standings.
► Sophomore Laura Milos continues to dominate in Summit League action as she leads the league in attacks, kills per set, points, and total kills. Milos also ranks in the top seven nationally in all four categories including second in NCAA Division I with 4.99 kills per set.
► Milos also ranks fifth in the country in attacks per set (12.64) and seventh in points per set at 5.30. She also ranks nationally with 371 total points this season which ranks 13th best in the country.
► Setter, Lucija Bojanjac continues an impressive stretch during the 2015 season leading The Summit League with 10.99 assists per set. Bojanjac also crossed the 2,000 assist mark for her career and ranks 10th in ORU in history in total assists.
► Shelby Cox has been one of the efficient attackers for ORU this season. Cox ranks third in The Summit League with a .339 hitting percentage while averaging 2.37 kills per set.
► The Golden Eagles have played one of the toughest schedule in the nation facing five teams ranked in the top 100 and three in the top 50.
► As a team the Golden Eagles rank in the top 100 nationally in assists and kills. With help from Milos and Bojanjac ORU has tallied 895 assists and 943 kills. The nation's leaders in both categories include Hofstra with 1,126 assists and 1,198 kills.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
► League leading Denver hosts ORU Friday night as the Pioneers also hold the league's best RPI at 82. After a loss at IUPUI on the opening weekend of conference play Denver has won five straight including consecutive shutouts last weekend against Western Illinois and Omaha.
► The Pioneers are led by Sarah Schmid who ranks first in The Summit League in blocks per set (1.28) and hitting percentage with a .426 clip. Her hitting percentage also ranks 14th best in NCAA Division I this season.
► Western Illinois enters the weekend on a five-match losing streak and sits at 1-4 in The Summit League. The Leathernecks are just 3-17 on the season under first-year head coach Kelly Richardson. In addition to five straight losses for WIU, they have not won a set in their last three matches since falling 3-2 against IPFW.
► Peyton Crosser leads the Leathernecks as she ranks eighth in The Summit League at 2.99 kills per set. Crosser also ranks nationally on the offensive side of the net as her 10.79 attacks per set rank 62nd.
