Volleyball Falls in Season Opener 3-0 at Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. – Oral Roberts volleyball fell in its season opener, 3-0, to Oklahoma Friday evening at McCasland Field House during the opening day Oklahoma Invitational.

The Golden Eagles (0-1) fell behind early in the opening set and rallied to push the Sooners, but could never overcome the home team, falling 25-20, 25-12, 25-17.

Both teams went back and forth but Oklahoma (1-0) used a little more firepower with a .312 and .394 hitting percentage in the final two sets to take the victory.

Inside the Box Score
- Junior Laura Milos led all players with 15 kills on the night and more than doubled the next closest player with 42 attacks. 

- Lucija Bojanjac finished with a game-high 28 assists. THe junior also led ORU with 10 digs. 

- Katarina Mikulic and Brianne Greenlee made their ORU debuts in the match. Mikulic finished with four kills while Greenlee went for two kills and a pair of blocks. 

- The Golden Eagles were were outhit .300 to .088 while recording eight service errors.

The Golden Eagles continue play at the Oklahoma Invitational Saturday as they take on UMKC at 10 a.m. before closing out the day against UTEP at 5 p.m.
