Golden Eagles Seek Third-Straight Win Hosting Pioneers Tuesday

TULSA, Okla. – Playing its third match in five days, the Oral Roberts volleyball team looks for its three-consecutive win hosting The Summit League preseason favorite Denver Tuesday night at the Aerobics Center at 7 p.m. The Golden Eagles close a four-match homestand against the Pioneers after picking up a pair of sweeps over Western Illinois and South Dakota State moving to 10-9 overall and 2-3 in league play. Denver comes to Tulsa as winners of three-in-a-row and a 4-1 record in The Summit League.

Shelby Cox was named The Summit League's Offensive Player of the Week Oct. 9 following ORU's back-to-back sweeps of Western Illinois and South Dakota State. The junior earned the honor for the first time in her career behind a .500 hitting percentage for the week averaging 3.67 kills per set.

► ORU completed the nonconference schedule with an 8-6 record including a thrilling 3-0 sweep of Arkansas in the home opener. It was the third win in a row for ORU inside the series against the Razorbacks and came in front of an Aerobics Center record crowd of 1,272 fans.

Laura Milos has continued her success on the court from last season. The junior leads the nation in two categories and ranks in the top-10 nationally in many others. The Porec, Croatia native sits atop the NCAA in aces per set (0.89) and points per set (6.69). She also ranks second in attacks per set (14.15) and service aces (55), while ranking third in kills per set (5.63), fifth in points (414.5), sixth in total kills (349) and15th in triple doubles (1).

► For her efforts during the Tulsa Invitational, Milos was tabbed to the All-Tournament Team, her fourth such award of the season. She finished the Invitational with 69 kills, 10 aces and a .222 attacking percentage.

► One constant for the Golden Eagles this year has been the play of its setter in Lucija Bojanjac. Bojanjac leads the team with 598 assists on the year, while coming in fifth in The Summit League. In a 33-set performance against Arkansas, Bojanjac joined the 3,000 assists club and now has 3,165 for her career.

► Both Milos and Bojanjac continue to move up the ORU career leaderboards. Milos went up two places to sixth all-time now with 1,434 career kills. Bojanjac is now fifth in career assists with 3,165 during her three-year career.

► As a team, Oral Roberts is second nationally at 2.04 aces per set in its aggressive style of offense led by Laura Milos who is second in the nation with 55. The team also ranks fourth in the country in service aces with 141 on the season.

► The Summit League named Laura Milos the League's Offensive Player of the Week after the Central Arkansas Invitational and again after the Tulsa Invitational. With two honors already in her junior season, she sits third all-time in Summit League history with eight weekly awards.
