TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team enters a critical four-match road trip spanning nine days, starting Friday (Oct. 28) at South Dakota State with first serve scheduled 7 p.m. The Golden Eagles currently hold the sixth and final spot for The Summit League Tournament with six matches to play.

Quick Hits

►The Golden Eagles try to rebound from a pair of home losses that opened the second half of the league slate last weekend. It will be a grueling nine-day stretch where ORU plays four road matches to remain in the hunt to solidify a postseason appearance.

►SDSU is tied with Omaha as the closest teams behind ORU in the standings, but remain two games behind with a 2-8 record in conference play having been swept in two straight after a five-set win over Western Illinois. The Jackrabbits are 3-19 overall getting lone wins in each of the three months played in 2016.

►For the fourth time in eight weeks this season, an ORU player was named The Summit League's Offensive Player of the Week after Laura Milos picked up the honor Oct. 17.  It was her third time landing the honor in 2016 and ninth of her storied career, while junior Shelby Cox earned the title for the first time in her career Oct. 10.

►Both Milos and Lucija Bojanjac continue to climb up the ORU career leaderboards this season. Milos is fifth all-time in kills and has crossed the 1,500 mark with 1,537 career kills, while she needs just seven more kills to move into fourth all-time. Bojanjac recently moved up to fourth in career assists with 3,335 during her three-year career.

►ORU completed the nonconference schedule with an 8-6 record including a thrilling 3-0 sweep of Arkansas in the home opener. It was the third win in a row for ORU in the series against the Razorbacks and came in front of an Aerobics Center record crowd of 1,272 fans.

►Milos has continued her success on the court from last season earning national recognition. The junior leads the nation in aces per set (0.80) and ranks in the top-10 nationally in several other categories. The Porec, Croatia native ranks second in attacks per set (14.06) and service aces (65), while sitting third in kills per set (5.58), third in points per set (6.55), fourth in points (530.5), fifth in total kills (452) and 15th in triple doubles (1). She also is The Summit League's leader in seven statistical categories in 2016.

►One constant for the Golden Eagles this year has been the play of its setter in Lucija Bojanjac. The junior leads the team with 798 assists on the year, while ranking fourth in The Summit League. In a 33-set performance against Arkansas, Bojanjac joined the 3,000 assists club and now has 3,335 for her career.

►As a team, Oral Roberts tops all 329 NCAA Division I programs in the country in service aces with 175 on the season led by Laura Milos who is second in the nation with 65. The team also is third nationally at 1.99 aces per set in its aggressive style of serving.
