TULSA, Okla. – Lucija Bojanjac and Laura Milos were spectacular as the Oral Roberts volleyball team closed its regular season with a sweep of IUPUI in a tightly-contested battle (28-26, 28-26, 25-22) Sunday afternoon at the Aerobics Center. The win gives the Golden Eagles the No. 5 seed in the upcoming Summit League Championships with an 8-8 record in league play.


The Golden Eagles ran into trouble trying to close out the opening two sets, but managed hold off the Jaguars to earn a split in the season series behind a 53-assist effort by Bojanjac and 33 kills from Milos.

Inside the Box Score

  • Milos tallied 33 kills for the second-consecutive Sunday, but this time only needed three sets for an impressive 11.0 kills per set, nearly double her season average.
  • Bojanjac put together one of her best performances of the year ending with 53 set assists reaching the 50-assist mark for the fifth time this season, and first in a three-set match.
  • Milos and Tori Roe each posted a match-high 14 digs, while Maggie DiPronio and Bojanjac added eight digs apiece.
  • Shelby Cox came up clutch for ORU adding 13 kills on 25 swings for a .440 hitting percentage and added a set-winning solo block in set one.
  • The Golden Eagles needed six set points in the opener to pull off the win, after taking a 24-20 lead, and also had to save a set point for the Jaguars in the process. ORU then saved a set point in set two before getting the win on its third set point keeping momentum with the home side.
  • Gabby Fisher finished with 18 kills to lead IUPUI and Logan Walling added 14 kills with both hitting above .325 for the match.
