ORU Trio Lands Postseason Volleyball Honors from Summit League

DENVER, Colo. – Oral Roberts volleyball earned recognition Thursday night as Laura Milos was named First-Team All-Summit League for 2016, while Brianna Greenlee and Taylan Nero were named to the All-Freshmen Team.

A five-time conference player of the week this season, Milos led the league in eight statistical categories at the conclusion of the regular season, including total kills (598), kills per set (5.81) and total points (700). Meanwhile, her 6.80 points per set, 81 service aces and 0.79 aces per set not only led the league, but are tops in all of NCAA Division I volleyball.

Milos, a junior from Porec, Croatia, becomes a three-time, first-team all-conference selection after landing the honor in 2014 and 2015. She will try to become just the fourth player in school history to record at least 600 kills in a single season and already ranks third in career kills in Golden Eagles' history with 1,683 in three seasons.

Greenlee and Nero jumped right into the starting lineup for ORU as true freshmen and made an immediate impact for the navy and gold, especially from a defensive standpoint at the net. The pair rank as the only freshmen in The Summit League in the top 10 in blocking and combined for 244 kills in 2016 with Greenlee totaling 133 and Nero posting 111.

Greenlee, a product of Knoxville, Tennessee, leads the Golden Eagles this season recording 78 total blocks, sitting 10th in the conference, behind six solo blocks and a team-best 72 block assists. Nero, a Tulsa, Oklahoma native, paces the squad with an average of 0.84 blocks per set, ranking eighth in the league.

The No. 5-seeded Golden Eagles open The Summit League Championships Friday at 6 p.m. (CT) against No. 4 Fort Wayne on the campus of the University of Denver. Live video and stats are available at tournament central (
