Milos Lands Summit League August/September Athlete of the Month Award

ELMHURST, Ill. – The Summit League named Oral Roberts volleyball player Laura Milos (Porec, Croatia) as the Female Athlete of the Month and Omaha men's soccer player Elvir Ibisevic (Johnston, Iowa) as the Male Athlete of the Month for August/September.

Milos collects the second Athlete of the Month award in her career after earning two Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honors to break a volleyball league record for most weekly honors (13). The senior outside hitter led Oral Roberts and The Summit League with 280 kills averaging 5.09 kills per set, ranking third in the NCAA. She reached double-digit kills in 14 of 15 matches played, including 20 or more six times. The Croatia native tallied a season-high 32 kills in a rivalry matchup against Tulsa, reaching 30-plus kills for the seventh time in her career.

Ibisevic earns his first career Athlete of the Month honor after snagging two Summit League Offensive Player of the Week awards, Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week honors, United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Week designation and being tabbed the UTRGV Tournament Offensive MVP. The sophomore forward set a school single-match record when he scored three goals against then-No. 17 Virginia Tech. He needed just over 10 minutes to score the second-fastest hat trick in D1 soccer history. His efforts have guided Omaha to a 7-2-2 record and helped earn the program's first National Top 10 ranking earlier this season.
