TULSA, Okla. – After playing its first 12 matches away from campus, the Oral Roberts volleyball team gets set for its home opener at the Cooper Aerobics Center Friday night at 7 p.m. hosting four-time defending Summit League champion Denver. The Golden Eagles remain at home Sunday as the Coyotes of South Dakota come to town for a matinee at 1 p.m.

•ORU begins Summit League play Friday night at the Aerobics Center facing four-time defending champion Denver in its home opener before hosting South Dakota Sunday afternoon. The Golden Eagles look to bounce back from a trio of five-set losses at the SIUE Cougar Classic where they closed the non-conference portion of the schedule.

•Senior libero Tori Roe earned her second All-Tournament Team honor over the weekend averaging 5.4 digs per set with at least 25 digs in all three matches. The native of St. Louis, Missouri, leads The Summit League with 235 total digs and ranks second in the conference averaging 4.80 digs per set. She currently ranks fourth in ORU history with 1,308 digs after becoming the program's 10th player to eclipse 1,000 digs last season.

•Six hitters have reached 50 or more kills at the end of non-conference action. Lara Picht has taken over the team lead with 115 kills after reaching double figures in each of her last five appearances, including double-doubles against ACU and SIUE.

Bria Bergman has averaged 8.84 assists per set, ranking sixth in the league, but is the top attacking setter with 54 kills. The senior set a career high with 51 assists against North Florida and was named to the All-Tournament Team in two of four events thanks to a team-best, five double-doubles this year.

•ORU has showcased consistent play at the net in 2018 recording 1.94 blocks per set. Sophomore Morgan Blomquist (0.96) ranks eighth in The Summit League in blocks per set, while junior Taylan Nero's 0.88 is 11th.

•Denver comes to ORU on a league-best, nine-match win streak and holds an 11-1 record entering its league opener. South Dakota sits at 6-6 overall, but has lost its last five matches, and starts league play at North Dakota State Friday before its trip to Tulsa.

•Head Coach Sheera Sirola, ORU's all-time winningest coach, welcomed two newcomers to the lineup, both freshmen, as setter Sylvia Lawson (Joplin, Missouri) and outside hitter Inka Inkret (Ivanec, Croatia) joined the squad for 2018. Inkret become a go-to option offensively leading the team in kills twice, coming at Wyoming (5) and against Ball State (13).

•The Golden Eagles have reached the conference tournament each of the last six seasons, including a spot in the 2017 championship match. ORU made its first postseason appearance since 2006 when it was invited to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship last year.
