TULSA, Okla. – After dropping the opening set, the Oral Roberts volleyball team went on to win the next three frames to take down North Dakota in four sets (18-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-18) Friday night at the Aerobics Center.


ORU hit above .300 in each of the final two stanzas to secure the home Summit League victory getting double-figure kills from CeCe Madison and Inka Inkret, totaling 17 and 13 kills, respectively.


The Fighting Hawks held off the Golden Eagles in set one, which featured nine tie scores and six lead changes, before ORU turned up the pressure defensively in set two. Bri Greenlee keyed all four blocks helping change the momentum in the match.


Katarina Mikulic scored kills on three-straight points during a 6-0 run that pushed the Golden Eagles to a 17-8 advantage in set two, a frame that they led from the opening point. That drive carried into the third frame where ORU won the final four points to take a 2-1 set lead after UND closed the gap to a one-point game, 21-20. The final set had another 4-0 run to the finish by the Golden Eagles to complete the win.


Inside the Box Score

  • Four different players reached double-digit digs led by libero Tori Roe's 27-dig effort, which pushed her past 400 this season, already a career high. Mikulic tallied 17 digs in three sets to go with seven kills.
  • Bria Bergman posted her team-leading 11th double-double as the senior put up 41 set assists with 15 digs and added three service aces. Madison capped her night with a 17-kill, 10-dig double-double and had three block assists.
  • Greenlee finished the match with three solo blocks and five block assists as she was a part of eight of the team's nine total blocks.
  • Morgan Blomquist led the Golden Eagles with a .368 hitting percentage recording eight kills on 19 swings.
