TULSA-Alison Smyth scored the game's only goal less than 90 seconds
into the second overtime, lifting Western Illinois to a 1-0 Summit
League victory over Oral Roberts on Sunday at the ORU Soccer
Complex in the Golden Eagles' season home finale.
Smyth headed in a perfect corner kick from Kellie Julius at 101:17
to break the scoreless tie. The loss dropped ORU to 6-9-0 overall
and 3-4-0 in Summit League play, while Western improved to 6-7-2
and 3-3-1.
ORU dominated the game before Smyth's game-winner. The Golden
Eagles out-shot the Leathernecks 18-12, with eight shots coming on

The Golden Eagles next visit Summit League foe UMKC, 5 p.m.,
