SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-Five different players scored goals as Missouri
State handed ORU a 5-0 defeat, Saturday at Plaster Field.
The Bears (3-3-1) scored early and often against ORU (3-3-0). Jenna
Dobkins started the scoring just nine minutes into the match when
her shot went off the cross bar and deflected off the back of ORU
keeper
Amanda Wheeler for a 1-0 Missouri State lead.
Megan Jaskowiak scored less than five minutes later for a 2-0
advantage, and Becky Handley made it 3-0 with a header at
23:33.
Missouri State continued to add to the lead in the second half.
Kelsey Finders scored on a loose ball in the box at 52:41 and the
final goal came at 74:15 when Samantha Aguilar scored off a corner
kick.
Despite the loss, ORU out-shot Missouri State 16-12. Wheeler made
four saves in goal, while her counterpart Jessica Teahen stopped
eight shots for Missouri State.
The Golden Eagles next visit cross-town rival Tulsa, 7 p.m.,
Wednesday.
