Roberts University men's tennis team fell short Friday afternoon in
a 5-2 loss against former league foe UMKC at the Shadow Mountain
Tennis Center.
The Golden Eagles picked up wins at the top of their
lineup however; heartbreakers at No. 3 and No. 4 singles gave UMKC
the advantage it needed for the win.
ORU dropped its third consecutive match and fell below the
.500 mark for the first time after winning four straight matches to
end January.

Saletovic won his second straight match at No. 1 singles to
improve to 3-2 on the season with a 6-3, 6-4 win.

Pehnec improved to 2-0 at No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win
over Andrey Smirnov.

Lavers earned their fourth win of the season at No. 2 doubles
with a 6-2 victory.

ORU takes the week off before returning
to the courts next Saturday in the Summit League opener against
Denver. The match is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. from the Case
Tennis Center.
