The Short Story: The Oral Roberts women's tennis team opened Summit League play with a 5-2 win over Omaha early Saturday morning.

The Golden Eagles rallied back after an early deficit from double action with a dominant outcome in singles. Jovana Antonijevic and Petya Simeonova picked up the lone doubles win for ORU as Omaha took the early doubles point.

However, Antonijevic and Simeonova would help the Golden Eagles nearly sweep singles to take a 5-2 victory. Antonijevic won her sixth match of the season with a solid win at No.1 singles. Simeonova won at No. 3 singles while Cijenia Cornelius, Brenda Mercado and Valentina Gisbert also claimed wins at singles.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles return to Tulsa next Saturday as they host Missouri Valley foe Wichita State. Action is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start at the Case Tennis Center.
