TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team defeated Missouri State 4-3 Tuesday evening at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Golden Eagles claimed the doubles point in the match by grabbing wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. Petya Simeonova and Jovana Antonijevic won at the No. 1 position 6-1, while Brenda Mercado Jove and Ximena Puentes won 7-6 (7-2) at the No. 3 doubles spot.

ORU won four singles matches in tonight's contest. Jovana Antonijevic won a 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 match at the No. 3 position. Petya Simeonova defeated her opponent at the No. 4 spot 6-2, 6-1. Ximena Puentes recorded a 6-1, 6-3 win at the No. 6 spot. Valentina Maya Gisbert defeated her opponent in an 8-1 proset match.

Up Next: ORU will travel to Omaha, Nebraska to face South Dakota State at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 1.
