TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team defeated Western Illinois 4-3 Saturday morning at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Senior Day.

The Golden Eagles claimed one match in doubles action, but did not claim the doubles point. Jovana Antonijevic and Petya Simeonova won at the No. 2 doubles spot 6-0.

ORU won four singles matches in today's contest. Petya Simeonova won a 6-4, 6-1 match at the No. 4 position. Brenda Mercado Jove won at the No. 5 spot 6-3, 6-2. Ximena Puentes recorded a 6-1, 6-3 win at the No. 6 spot. Ceijenia Cornelius claimed the point in the decisive match to give the Golden Eagles the win. Cornelius was down 5-1 in the tiebreak and came back to win 7-5. She won her match at the No. 1 position 0-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5).

Up Next: ORU will travel to Denver, Colorado, to play against the Denver Pioneers on Friday, April 21 at 4 p.m.
