ORU Opens Season Against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team opened the 2018 season going 2-2 Saturday, January 13 against the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff and the University of Tulsa at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Golden Eagles swept the Lions in both matches on Saturday claiming the doubles point and all singles matches. Ceijenia Cornelous, Valentina Gisbert and Brenda Mercado each swept their opponents in match one against UAPB, 6-0, 6-0 in singles action.

Jovana Antonijevic and Gorana Kadijevic won 6-0 in the No. 1 doubles spot in match one against UAPB. Ceijenia Cornelius and Andrea Vasiljevic also won 6-0 in the No. 2 doubles position in match one against the Lions claiming the doubles point for the Golden Eagles.

Jovana Antonijevic and Mariia Kuzminskaya swept their opponents, 6-0, 6-0 in their singles matches in match two against the lions.

Up Next: ORU will compete in the Hurricane Invite Friday, January 19 hosted by the University of Tulsa at 9 a.m. at the Case Tennis Center.
