RUSTON, La. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team defeated Grambling State 5-2 Saturday afternoon in Ruston, Louisiana.

ORU won five of the six singles matches Saturday in positions two through six to claim the win over Grambling State. Gorana Kadijevic won 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot. Ceijenia Cornelius won in a 6-1, 6-4 match at the No. 3 spot. Andrea Vasiljevic nearly swept her opponent 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 4 position. Brenda Mercado won in a tight 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 match at the No. 5 spot. Valentina Gisbert grabbed the fifth point for ORU winning 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 6 position.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles will compete in Hurricane Invite hosted by the University of Tulsa Sunday, January 21 at 9 a.m. at the Case Tennis Center.
