TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team went 1-1 during the week falling to Fordham 6-1 and defeating Dension 6-1 in Orlando, Florida.
Gorana Kadijevic scored the lone point for ORU in the match against Fordham winning 7-5, 1-6, 10-7, at the No. 2 spot.
After losing the doubles point to Denison, the Golden Eagles won every singles match Wednesday to win 6-1. Rai Sengupt scored the first point to tie the match by winning at the No. 3 spot, 7-5, 6-1. Ceijenia Cornelius was victorious at the No. 1 spot, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, followed by Flavia Gutierrez with a tiebreaker win, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4, at the No. 4 position. Gorana Kadijevic won 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot and Valentina Gisbert won 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 at No. 6. Andrea Vasiljevic closed things out with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5.
