TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team grabbed a 4-3 win over Cincinnati Saturday evening at the Case Tennis Center.
 
The Golden Eagles started strong with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles by Oleksandra Nahurska and Aliksandra Lebedeva. ORU then clinched the doubles point to go ahead, 1-0, in the dual with a win at the No. 3 spot. Gorana Kadjievic and Flavia Gutierrez claimed the 7-6 tiebreak win to put ORU on top headed into singles play.
 
Cincinnati tied the dual, 1-1, to begin singles play with a win at No. 3. ORU then took a 2-1 advantage after Nahurska claimed her second of the win of the day with a 6-2, 6-2 clip over Ioana Guna. The Bearcats came back to make it 2-2 with a win at No. 6, but then went ahead, 3-2, with a win at No. 2.
 
The Golden Eagles then won at No. 5 and No. 4, in that order. Both matchups were won in three-sets. Kadijevic won set one at the No. 5 spot, 6-3, but fell 4-6 in set two to send it to a third set. She then dominated the third set with a 6-2 win to put her team in position to win with a dual score of 3-3, with one match remaining. Rai Sengupta competed at the No. 4 spot and fell behind 3-6 in set one. Sengupta rallied to then win sets two, 6-4, and three, 6-3, to claim the dual with for ORU, 4-3.
 
Up Next: The Golden Eagles will face the Oklahoma State Cowgirls on February 24 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
