#ORUWSoc Set to Battle the Bears on Thursday

TULSA, Okla. – For just the second time this season, the Oral Roberts women's soccer team (2-1-1) will hit the road on Thursday as they travel to Springfield, Missouri to take on Missouri State (1-2-1). First touch from Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium is slated for 6 PM and all of the action can be seen on ESPN+.

  • The Golden Eagles look to bounce back after dropping their first match of the season on Sunday, falling 3-0 to Creighton.
  • ORU is 1-0 on the road this season, winning 5-0 against Arkansas – Pine Bluff on August 22.

  • In Springfield, trail the all-time series against the Bears 3-6-2.
  • The last meeting between ORU and Missouri State came in Tulsa on September 16, 2018 – a 3-2 win in overtime for the Golden Eagles.

  • Missouri State comes into the meeting with ORU with a 1-2-1 record.
  • This is the Bears' second meeting with a Summit League opponent this season – Missouri State fell to Kansas City 2-1 on August 22.
  • On Sunday, the Bears played to a 2-2 draw with the University of Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane took a 2-0 lead in the first 17 minutes before the Bears clawed their way back into the game.
  • Four Bears were named to the Missouri Valley Conference all-preseason teams. Jacqueline Baetz was named to the first-team, while Anna Durnin, Isabel Burke, and Kennady Orlick were named to the honorable mention squad.
