ST. LOUIS, MO. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team fell 4-3 in the season opener at Saint Louis Sunday afternoon.
 
The Golden Eagles started strong on Sunday claiming the doubles point and an early 1-0 lead. Oleksandra Nahurska and Luna Morini teamed up to win at the No. 1 doubles spot, 6-1. Reagan Miley and Aliksandra Lebedeva earned the point for ORU with a 6-2 victory at the No. 3 doubles spot.
 
Nahurska made it a 2-0 match with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. Miley then claimed her second victory of the day to make it a 3-1 score in favor of ORU with a 6-4, 6-3 win at the No. 4 spot. Saint Louis then tied it 3-3 as it came down to No. 6. Morini claimed the first set 7-5. But was defeated 4-6, 3-6, in sets two and three as the Billikens came away with a 4-3 win.
 
Up Next: ORU will play Seattle Saturday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. in Bozeman, Montana.
