TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's soccer team dropped their third straight contest Friday evening as they fell to Denver, 5-1, on senior night at the Case Soccer Complex.

Prior to the match, the Golden Eagles recognized their seven seniors, Gabrielle Abbey, Michaela Johnson, Mia Kitterman, Abril Lucio, Angie Machado, Samantha See and Paige Venrick for all their accomplishments.

The Pioneers struck first in the seventh minute as Ella Frost found the back of the net off an assist from Riley Baker. Less than seven minutes later, Denver added to their lead, 2-0, as Kaitlyn Glover connected on her fifth goal of the season.

The Golden Eagles had two opportunities to break through on the scoreboard as See (27th minute) and Abbey (29th minute) each recorded a shot on goal but were denied by Denver's Nerea Arrazola. The two shots on goal were ORU's only of the opening 45 minutes.

Four minutes into the second half, a handball violation by the Pionners in the box set the Golden Eagles up with a penalty kick. See seized the opportunity for ORU as the senior placed it in the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season, trimming the deficit to 2-1.

The Golden Eagles quickly threatened to even the score as Julia Thasaphong (51st minute), Kristi Keller (54th minute) and See (56th minute) all recorded shots but were unable to find the back of the net. The Pioneers added to their lead, 3-1, in the 65th minute as Camryn MacMillan struck from the top of the box.

The Pioneers later added goals in the 72nd and 79th minutes to make the final tally 5-1.
