TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team earned its fifth-straight league win with a 6-1 victory over Western Illinois Saturday afternoon in Macomb, Illinois.
 
Aliksandra Lebedeva and Reagan Miley claimed a 6-3 victory at the No. 1 doubles spot. Luna Morini and Arina Sorokina earned the doubles point to put ORU up, 1-0, early with a 6-1 win at No. 2.
 
"I am so proud of the ladies," Director of Tennis Mark Milner said. "This team has proven to be tough week in and week out. They were ready for a tough road opponent and performed well today."
 
The Golden Eagles won five of the six singles points Saturday. Oleksandra Nahurska earned a 6-0, 6-1, win at No. 1 and Lebedeva claimed a 6-2, 6-2, win at No. 2. Sorokina was the winner at the No. 4 position with a 6-2, 6-2, win and Morini was victorious at No. 5, 6-0, 6-1. Zere Iskakova also won at No. 6, 6-1, 6-0.
 
Up Next: ORU will play Missouri State Wednesday April 13 at 3 p.m. at the Bernis Duke Tennis Center.
 
ORU is in sole possession of second place in the Summit League standings heading into the final week of the regular season. The Golden Eagles will host the Denver Pioneers on Saturday, April 16 and a win would earn the team the regular season championship.
