TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts Head Coach Austin Risenhoover announced Friday the signing of 13 newcomers to the 2023 women's soccer team.
  Risenhoover on the 2023 Signees:
"First, of all I want to thank Wes, Jake and our current players for working hard to identify these new players and being great ambassadors of our program to make them feel that ORU could be their home," Risenhoover said. "We are very fortunate to return a lot of talent from a team that played for a championship last year.  
 
We could not be more excited about this group and the players we added in the spring.  We have a mix of some really good transfers and freshmen.  They have proven themselves to be tremendous student-athletes and will be ready to compete in the Summit League and help us win a championship. 
 
When we are identifying players we are looking for players of high cognition, competence and character and this group for sure exemplifies those traits.  Furthermore, this class will help us on our 'Quest to Be Champions' on the field, academically and for Christ. I can't wait to get started with them"
  Ashley Bredthauer – Bredthauer came to ORU from Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she was team captain and all-state honorable mention. She chose to come to ORU because of the atmosphere on campus and the welcome she received from the team.
 
Stella-Maria Gamper – Coming to ORU from Vienna, Austria, Gamper has been a part of a championship team every season dating back to 2018. During her time on the Vienna National Team, she was the top scorer and team captain. She chose to come to ORU because she liked the coaches and wanted to continue her education while playing soccer.
Addy Gleckler – Joining the Golden Eagles from Elkhorn South High School in Elkhorn, Nebraska, Gleckler comes in as a freshman forward. In high school, she was named all-state, all-metro and offensive most valuable player. She chose to come to ORU because of the culture and environment and is excited to dive deeper in to her faith.
 
Makayla Gonzalez – Gonzalez comes to ORU from Grand Prairie, Texas, as a graduate from South Grand Prairie High School. Under the guidance of Mark Bolton, she helped lead her team to a district championship for the first time in 10 years. She chose to come to ORU because she knows God wants her there and because of the coaches and atmosphere.
 
Marcella Helena – A transfer from Central Methodist University, she is a native of Brazil. At Central Methodist she made third team All-America in 2021 and freshman of the year. In 2022, she was All America Honorable Mention. She chose to come to ORU because she felt peace about it inside her heart.
 
Abigail Hoffman – A freshman from St. Louis, Missouri, Hoffman attended McCluer North High School and was a quad-sport athlete in golf, soccer, softball and swimming. During her career she was team captain, first team all-conference and St. Louis Post Dispatch Player of the Week. She was the top goal scorer in her conference as well. She chose to come to ORU because of the wonderful campus with committed coaches and players with a Christ-centered focus.
 
Zoe McCabe – McCabe transferred to ORU from the University of Oklahoma as a sophomore forward. She played high school soccer at Bartlesville High School where she was named all-district and all-state three times. She chose to come to ORU because of the environment.
 
Kylee Munson – Munson came to ORU as a graduate transfer from Oklahoma State. She is a native of Oklahoma City where she attended Westmoore High School. In high school she was a co-offensive player of the year, two-time defensive player of the year, made two-time all-district and team captain. She scored 20 goals in her high school career. She chose to come to ORU because she felt it is a place where she can grow in her faith and win a championship.

Lucia Rodriguez – A freshman from Frisco, Texas, Rodriguez attended Frisco High School as a National Honor Student. She was all-district honorable mention in 19-20 and made the first team the next two seasons. She's all been team captain for two seasons leading her team to a 2022 Area Championship. She chose ORU because of the school and soccer program showed growth and determination and she liked the team atmosphere that will allow her to grow in her faith.
 
Carys Torgesen – Torgesen joined the Golden Eagles from Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. She was a dual-sport athlete in basketball and soccer. As a freshman, she chose to come to ORU because she loves everything about it including the campus and environment.
 
Ava Vigil – Vigil comes to ORU from Edmond, Oklahoma, as a freshman. A graduate of Edmond Memorial High School where she was named all-district. She chose to come to ORU because she fell in love with the campus, coaches and overall environment.
 
Hannah Voskuhl – A native of Edmond, Oklahoma, Voskuhl is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian School (OCS) where she was a dual-sport athlete in basketball and soccer. In her high school career she led her team to the state semifinals. She was an all-district player of the year and was acknowledged for her defense by Top Soccer. She's scored 45 goals and recorded 11 assists in the past two years. She chose to come to ORU because she likes the Christian atmosphere and the coaches and players were welcoming.
 
Audrey Weir – Weir transferred to ORU from Washington State University. A native of Hawaii, she played club soccer for San Diego Surf. A graduate of Kealakehe High School, she was a dual-sport athlete and was a two-time all-league honorable mention.
