#ORUWSOC Falls in Summit League Championship

FARGO, N.D. – The Oral Roberts women's soccer team fell, 3-1, to No. 3 South Dakota State in the Summit League championship match on Sunday, November 10.
 
The Jackrabbits attacked ORU quickly in the first half. SDSU scored its first goal in the 14th minute after an ORU turnover inside its own 18. Seventy seconds later, the Jackrabbits scored a second time as Katelyn Beulke found the back of the net. The Golden Eagles battled, registering four shots, but went into the breakdown 2-0.
 
South Dakota State capitalized for a third time just three minutes into the second half as Katelyn Beulke scored her second goal of the match. Forward Marlee Fray put ORU on the board in the 63rd minute off a cross by Alaina Trevino. Fray's goal was her first of the season. The Golden Eagles continued to attack over the remaining 23 minutes of play but could not convert on any offensive opportunities. SDSU played sound defensively and held on for the 3-1 victory.
