DES MOINES. Iowa – The Oral Roberts women's tennis team's season came to a close Friday morning as the Golden Eagles fell, 4-0, to the first seed Denver Pioneers from Roger Knapp Tennis Center.

ORU and Denver faced off in Colorado just seven days ago as the Pios defended their home court with a 7-0 victory.

Denver secured the doubles point this morning after capturing a 6-1 win on court two and following up with a 6-3 win on court three.

In singles play, Denver continued to attack. The Golden Eagles put up a fight inside Roger Knapp Tennis Center, but ultimately fell, 4-0, after the Pios claimed wins on courts six, one, and three.
 
All-Summit League Honorable Mention, Arina Sorokina, was in a back-and-forth match with Denver's Britt Pursell. After falling 6-2 in the first set, Sorokina fought back and was ahead 4-3 before the match was abandoned due to Denver reaching the required four points.
