MAYETTA, Kan. - The Oral Roberts women's golf team finished in second place and
Avery Blake placed third in individuals as the Golden Eagles competed at the Summit League Championship this week.

The three-round tournament took place from April 21st-23rd at Firekeeper Golf Course featuring a par 72 course playing 6,190 yards and an 8-team field.
As a team, ORU finished 28-over par (283-313-296). The tournament champion Denver Pioneers finished the event 14-under par. Sophomores
Avery Blake and
Kate Strickland both earned top-five finishes for the Golden Eagles and were named to the Summit League Championship All-Tournament Team.
Blake (69-74-70) finished the tournament 3-under par as she tied with Denver's Anna Zanusso for third place. The Woodlands, Texas native recorded five birdies in round three as she stayed in the hunt for first all afternoon. An All-Summit League First Team selection, Blake's third place finish marked her fourth top-5 finish of the season.
Strickland (70-78-70) got off to a hot start in the front nine of round three as she looked to climb the leader board on the final day. She carded a birdie on hole four before putting an eagle on hole six to go 3-under par through the first six holes. The All-Summit League Second Team selection would end the round 1-over par as she finished in fifth place at the tournament.
Katelyn Rika (74-81-76) and
Cristina Riu (70-80-81) finished 13-back of Strickland as the two seniors tied for 19th at 15-over par.
Morgan Palermo (77-82-80) finished eight back of Rika and Riu finishing tied for 29th at 23-over par.
