NORMAN, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's golf team finished 14
th out of 16 teams this past weekend at the Schooner Fall Classic.
Final Results
Due to severe weather on September 22 (Day 2), Round 2 was canceled, and the tournament was shortened to two rounds instead of three.
The two-round tournament took place September 21-23 at Belmar Golf Club, featuring a par 70 course playing 6,188 yards and a 16-team field.
As a team, ORU finished 18-over par (291-287). The tournament champion Houston Cougars finished the event 9-under par (276-275).
Junior
Kate Strickland finished with the lowest individual score for ORU. Strickland (70-70) finished even par for the second consecutive tournament, earning a top-20 finish (19
th).
Avery Blake (71-71) finished the tournament 2-over par and tied for 33
rd in Individuals.
Freshman
Anna Swan (72-72) finished nine-back of Blake tied for 42nd. Swan ended the tournament 4-over par.
Fellow freshman
Jayla Kucy (78-74) finished 12-over par and tied for 81
st.
Morgan Palermo (80-77) finished eight-back of Kucy at 17-over par.
