HARTFORD, Wis. – The Oral Roberts men's golf program secured its best finish of the fall season thus far at the Marquette Intercollegiate, finishing in fifth place out of fourteen teams in a field that consisted of six Power Four programs.
Erin Hills is a par 72 course that plays 7,551 yards.
As a team, ORU finished thirty-two over par (307-292-297) and earned fifth place. Clemson took home the team title, shooting twenty over par (303-292-289). Tyler Kowack claimed the individual title with a score of two-under (75-70-69). Only two individual participants finished in red figures.
Gustav Liljeberg fired 78-70-68, earning a team-high finish at two-under. His score of 70 (-2) in round two was the only round under par for the Golden Eagles.
Freshman, Jorge Sanchez recorded his third straight top two team finish, tying for 17
th at eight over par (74-75-75).
Christian Johnson shot 79-72-73 (+8), closing out the Marquette Intercollegiate tied for 17
th.
Phillip Voetmann concluded the Marquette Intercollegiate tied for 34
th with a score of thirteen over par (76-79-74).
Ben Gratzl rounded out the scoring for ORU, shooting 85-75-77 (+21). Gratzl placed tied for 73
rd.
Sam Morris competed individually at Erin Hills, carding 81-81-81 (+27) and placing 83rd.
