TUCSON, Ariz. – The Oral Roberts men's golf team began the 2025 spring season with a 12th-place finish at the N.I.T. hosted by Arizona.
Results
The three-round tournament took place February 3rd and 4th at the Omni Tucson National Resort, featuring a par 72 course playing 7,200 yards. The 14-team field included some of the most premiere golf programs in the country, including #11 Arizona, #36 Brigham Young, and #43 Southern California.
As a team, ORU finished 5-over par (292-290-287). The tournament champion, #36 BYU Cougars, finished the tournament 50-under par (270-272-272).
Kevin An (69-70-72) and freshman
Ben Gratzl (69-70-72) finished tied with the lowest individual scores for ORU as the pair each finished 5-under par. The duo tied for 22
nd and were the only Golden Eagles to finish the tournament under par.
Christian Johnson (78-74-72) finished 65
th, shooting 8-over par for the event.
Gustav Liljeberg (76-78-71), a Summit League Preseason Watch List honoree, finished one back of Johnson, tied for 66
th at nine-over par.
Rounding out ORU's starting five,
Charlie Mooney (81-76-72) finished tied for 73
rd, shooting 13-over par.
