LAKE COUNTY, Ill. – The Oral Roberts men's golf program continued the fall season at the Windon Memorial Classic in Lake County, Illinois. The field consisted of nine Power four opponents as the Golden Eagles finished in 14
th place out of 16 teams.
The Knollwood Club is a par 72 course that plays 7,202 yards.
As a team, ORU finished eight-over par (291-292-289) and earned 14th place. Illinois took home the team title, shooting thirty-six under par (275-277-276). Mesa Falleur from New Mexico won the individual title, firing scores of 68-71-65 (-12).
Freshman Jorge Sanchez fired 75-71-72, earning a team-high finish at two-under.
Gustav Liljeberg tied with Sanchez, shooting two-under (73-73-72) and tying for 47
th.
Phillip Voetmann shot 71-75-73 (+3), closing out the Windon Memorial Classic tied for 55
th.
Ben Gratzl closed out the Windon Memorial Classic tied for 66
th with a score of six over par (72-73-77).
Christian Johnson rounded out the scoring for ORU, shooting 76-76-72 (+8). Johnson placed tied for 74
th.
