TULSA, OK. –  Tulsa struck early in the first half to take a 1-0 lead over the Golden Eagles in the 13th minute. Oral Roberts responded with steady offensive pressure, generating several shot attempts, including strong efforts from Brianna Castleberry and Kiran Singh, but the Tulsa goalkeeper came up with key saves to preserve their advantage. Both teams played a physical half, trading fouls, and ORU went into the break trailing 1-0.

The Golden Eagles came out determined in the second half and quickly leveled the match in the 61st minute, as Kiran Singh found the back of the net off an assist from Brianna Castleberry. However, Tulsa answered just two minutes later to retake a 2-1 lead. ORU stayed composed and kept pressing, and in the 89th minute, Brianna Castleberry delivered the equalizer, finishing off a well-placed assist from Julia Thasaphong and Carys Torgesen. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, and with the result, Oral Roberts retains possession of the Mayor's Cup for another year.
