- This is the season opener for the Falcons, who are coming off a 14-4-4 season in 2025.
- Friends finished as the KCAC runner-up in 2025, going 10-1-2 in league play.
- The Falcons are led by Brent Hobson who enters his 13th season as head coach.
- Friends was picked to finish 2nd out of 14 in the KCAC preseason coaches' poll.
