STILLWATER, Okla. – Abraham Chelangam snagged his second top ten finish of the season, placing ninth at the annual Cowboy Jamboree hosted by Oklahoma State Saturday morning.
 
The Golden Eagles men's team placed eighth overall out of 20 teams with 249 points, while the women's team came in 12th with 343 points.
 
Chelangam led the way for ORU in the men's 8000 meters running a 23:54.4. Andrew Smithwick followed running a 24:55.7 and placing 39th, while Artwell Magake finished in 25:43.2 and placed 76th.
 
Senior Sibonokuhle Thwala paced the next pack of Golden Eagles, running a 26:09.5. Brian Cheruiyot followed with a 26:18.7. Ishmael Acheampong and Jonah Marvine ran a 27:04.3 and 27:15.0, respectively. Sophomore Jackson Cook followed, finishing in 27:32.6 while Braden Belew ran a 27:45.7. Seniors Cornelius Kipkogei and Victor Rosas each a 28:04.8 and a 28:06.7, while freshmen Lucas Espinosa and Asher Heiner finished in 29:10.4 and 29:19.9.
 
Ossly Murambidzi paced the Golden Eagles in the women's 6k, running a 21:29.3, a personal best, and placing 39th. Madeline Cabana followed with a 23:13.5, and was closely trailed by Sydney Lister who finished in 23:14.7. Baylee Woodrich and Lillian Woolery were the next of the ORU squad to cross the finish line, finishing in 23:37.1 and 23:42.8.
 
Sophomore Morgan Lawrence ran a 24:13.7, while Helen Hesselgren and Emelia Hesselgren ran a 24:44.1 and 24:50.0, respectively. Senior Hannah Claytor finished in 23:31.9.
