Shawna Dial was first a volunteer coach for the ORU track team before being officially named as the women's assistant coach in 1994.

Dial is primarily responsible for the administrative responsibilities of the track and field program, heading up budget and travel.

In 2012, she finished her Bachelor of Arts degree in Administrative Leadership from Oklahoma.

Dial and her husband, Joe, have three sons: Timmy, Tommy and Tyler.
