Won 12 of 13 events as a senior, finishing second in the other contest ... broke the Yukon High School record in the discus (171-1) ... earned all-big city and all-state honors as well as being named a team captain ... also a member of the football and golf programs.

Son of John and Cindi Cary ... majoring in aerospace engineering at ORU ... also recruited by Liberty, Arkansas and Southern Nazarene ... chose ORU because of the Christ centeredness of the university, the track success and the prestigious engineering program ... sister ran track at Southern Nazarene, father, John, played baseball and Hardin Simmons and mother was a basketball player at Texas Wesleyan.
