Set the Guntersville HS pole vault record (14-6) despite picking up the sport late in his high school career ... finished second at the state meet in his first year competing (junior) and won the state championship as a senior in just his second year ... was the team MVP both seasons ... also a member of the varsity football team as a junior and senior, earning Most Dedicated FB honors as a junior ... outside of competition, published a poem in a collegiate scholastic magazine and was an all-state choir member in 2008.

Son of Jeff and Tina Morrison ... majoring in business marketing at ORU with hopes of continuing his pole vault career or opening a training facility ... father Jeff was a football player and track athlete at Hines Junior College ... chose ORU over Grand Canyon, Mississippi State and South Alabama because of Coach (Joe) Dial's success with pole vaulters.
