Sarah Harrison was promoted to assistant athletic trainer in May 2021 after joining the ORU sports medicine staff in August 2020 as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. She works primarily with the women's soccer and women's tennis programs.
 
Certified in CPR/AED rescue by the American Red Cross, she passed the Board of Certification Exam in July 2020 and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). Harrison was an athletic training student at NCAA Division I Central Arkansas for three years serving clinical assignments at Russellville High School and with the Bears' Southland Conference champion football team. She also worked with the Sugar Bears' basketball, beach volleyball, soccer and tennis programs during her time in Conway.
 
At UCA, Harrison performed self-guided evaluations and diagnosis of orthopedic injuries of the lower extremity, upper extremity, head, neck, and spine. She also developed and implemented progressive rehabilitation programs and selected therapeutic modalities for the treatment for orthopedic injuries.
 
Harrison graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2020 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. As part of her minor in Interdisciplinary Studies through the Norbert O. Schedler's Honors College, she completed a thesis titled Tricks of the Trade: Animal Assisted Therapy in Athletic Training. She was named to the Dean's List every semester from fall 2016 through spring 2019 before landing on the President's List fall 2019 and spring 2020.
 
She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree from ORU in Sports and Leisure Administration.
