Michael Scovotti comes to us from Los Angeles & brings a wealth of experience in player development, high-level coaching, and program leadership across multiple competitive levels.
Prior to joining Oral Roberts, Scovotti served as Assistant Tennis Coach at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where he helped lead the Beavers to a national ranking of 22, turning out two all-SCIAC selections.Â
He also previously held the role of Director of Tennis and Head Varsity Coach at Marlborough School in Los Angeles. There, he managed a four-team program, and led the varsity squad to an elite Division I ranking and an impressive 24-9 record. Along with deep playoff runs each season against the best teams in Southern California, he coached two Mission League MVP's along with 8 all-league selections.Â
A former top-ten junior in the Eastern Tennis Association's 16U and 18U rankings, he elected to play Basketball and Lacrosse over tennis in college where he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Michael was Captain of the Catholic University Lacrosse team his Junior and Senior years.Â
With his passion for teaching and deep knowledge of the game, Michael Scovotti brings valuable experience and leadership to the Golden Eagles tennis program as he begins this new chapter at Oral Roberts
