Oral Roberts University

The Oral Roberts women's soccer program added former ORU midfielder/defender Jordan (Grigsby) Marchant as an Assistant Coach on May 11th, 2026. She enters her first year on Head Coach Austin Risenhoover's staff.
 
"Grigs" as she is affectionately called, transferred to ORU from Appalachian State in 2021. She went on to play for the Golden Eagles from 2021 to 2024, starting in 45 of the 57 matches in her career. Her crowning achievement was helping lead the team to the conference semifinals in 2023. She was elected team captain and was respected for her leadership in times of adversity by teammates and coaches.

Head Coach Austin Risenhoover said, "We're thrilled to welcome Jordan and her family back into our program. Jordan was a standout player and a team captain for us. Her energy and her ability to connect with others are what make her special. She is the epitome of our culture and what we strive for on our quest to be champions."
"I am so excited to be back," said Marchant. "Coming to ORU changed my life as a player. I transferred here unsure if I still loved soccer, but the coaches here helped me rediscover my passion for the game, grow as a leader, and feel genuinely cared for as a person. That experience inspired me to become a coach. I'm excited for this new opportunity to pour into players the same way coaches poured into me. I get to help young women grow in confidence, faith, and love for the game while knowing they're valued far beyond soccer." 
 
"At this time in our program, Jordan is the perfect fit for what we need as we head into next year and beyond. We couldn't be more excited to see the impact she will have on our student-athletes and the program", said Coach Risenhoover.

Marchant graduated from ORU in May 2024 with a degree in Psychology. She started her career in the field of Social Work and most recently worked as the Operations & Community Engagement Coordinator at West Side Alliance Soccer, a non-profit youth soccer organization in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She and her husband Dawson have a baby girl named Aminah.
