Columbia, S.C. -- Patricia Menezes slammed down eight kills tonight as the Oral Roberts University volleyball team swept SEC foe Kentucky today in three games (30-25, 30-22, 30-22). Menezes, the 5' 10" right side hitter from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has a career total of 1,374 kills, moving her into fifth place on the Mid-Continent Conference career charts.

Senior setter Anna Moreno had 40 assists tonight, giving her 3,108 for her career and moving her into eighth place on the Mid-Con career charts.

Senior middle blocker Ivana Placko led the Golden Eagles with 14 kills, two service aces and three block assists. She had a .345 hitting percentage (14-4-29). Senior outside hitter had a .391 hitting percentage (9-0-23). Sophomore libero Becky Dreher had 15 digs. Senior outside hitter Lindsey Engel had 11 digs, while sophomore middle blocker Celeste Jones had a .333 hitting percentage (8-3-15).

ORU and Kentucky both move to 6-5 on the season. The ORU volleyball team is back in action tomorrow as they face South Carolina. South Carolina received AVCA top 25 votes this week.
