The Oral Roberts University volleyball team lost to Valparaiso
University 3-2 Friday evening at Valparaiso's Recreation and
Athletics Center. The game scores were 22-30, 30-23, 29-31, 30-16,
15-11.
ORU's record dropped to 14-12 (7-2 Mid-Con), while Valparaiso
notched its 20th victory while losing only five on the season.
Valparaiso stands at 8-0 in Mid-Continent Conference play.
Becky Dreher led ORU with 22 kills and totaled 25 digs. The
libero-turned-outside hitter also led ORU with 64 attempts.
Freshman outside hitter Ori Zuzic had 20 kills for the Golden
Eagles, 9 of which came in game one. Freshman setter Maura Cicala
had 53 assists.
Liz Mikos totaled 11 blocks for Valparaiso. Lauren Molten led the
Crusaders with 20 kills. Sara Silcox came up with 23 digs.
ORU's next volleyball action takes place Saturday evening at 5:30
as the Golden Eagles travel to Detroit, Michigan to battle Oakland
University.
