The Oral Roberts University volleyball team defeated UMKC 3-0
Friday evening in front of 1,121 fans at the Cooper Aerobics Center
on the campus of ORU. The game scores were 30-21, 30-12, 30-18.
ORU elevated its record to 17-12 (9-2 Mid-Con), while UMKC dropped
to 6-24 (4-8 Mid-Con).
Freshman outside hitter Ori Zuzic led ORU with 15
kills and a .609 hitting percentage while committing just one
error. Freshman outside hitter Cris Alves led the
Golden Eagles with 13 digs and three service aces. Freshman middle
blocker Kim Snow contributed 11 kills and hit
.588. Freshman setter Maura Cicala tossed up 48
assists.
ORU hit .389 as a team while UMKC hit .059. During game two, ORU
hit .609 compared to .000 by UMKC.
ORU returns to the court Saturday evening at 7:00 when the Golden
Eagles take on Western Illinois at ORU's Cooper Aerobics
Center.
