The Oral Roberts University volleyball team battled fiercely in
each game, but the University of Kansas slipped past the Golden
Eagles Wednesday evening 3-0 (30-22, 31-29, 30-25).
Junior outside hitter Becky Brunelle led the way for ORU by posting
a double-double of 11 kills with 12 digs. Freshman outside hitter
Ori Zuzic contributed 11 kills as well. Freshman middle blocker Kim
Snow established the match high with 3 blocks. Freshman setter
Brittany Arnold had four service aces to go along with 20
assists.
Kansas improved to 6-1 on the season, while ORU dropped to 2-5.
When extending the AVCA Top 25 Poll by factoring the other schools
receiving votes, Kansas checks in this week at the number 33
spot.
ORU's next match takes place Friday afternoon at 2:00 against North
Texas at the Green Mill Restaurant Shocker Volleyball Classic in
Wichita, Kansas, at Wichita State University. Later that day, ORU
will square off against the tournament host Wichita State Shockers
at 7:00 p.m.
