to become just
the 10th player in NCAA Division I volleyball history to collect
2,000 for her career, and
the Golden Eagles rallied from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Mid-Con foe
Oakland, 3-1 (28
-30, 30-22, 30-16, 30-28) here Friday evening.
ORU (14-10, 6-2) hit .206
as a team for the match, with Kim Snow (.464, 17
kills)
leading the way. Ori Zuzic added a team-leading 21
kills and
hit .326 for the Golden Eagles.
Oakland (3-17, 1-7) out-hit ORU .171 to
.111 in the first game to take a 30-28 victory. The Golden
Grizzlies were led by
Heather Lippert's 12 kills.
Dreher, a 5-5 senior libero from Prince George,
Canada, is second nationally in digs per game (6.79 prior to
Friday's match). She
passed Murray State's Kim Koehler (1,994 digs from 1989-90) for
10th on the NCAA's
all-time digs list Friday.
The Golden Eagles will return to action Saturday at
5 p.m. when they host Mid-Con rival Valparaiso at Cooper
Aerobics
Center.
